Fronius State 301: what it means and what to do
Fronius lists State 301 as "Overcurrent (AC)": the inverter saw too much current on its mains (AC) side and briefly stopped feeding power to the grid. It then runs its start-up routine and normally carries on by itself.
What it means
- Seen once or twice? Usually a short disturbance on the grid. Fronius says the fault clears automatically.
- Showing all the time, or keeps coming back? Fronius advises calling a service partner. Causes include a loose or poor AC connection, a problem on the grid side, or a fault inside the inverter.
What you can safely check
- Note the code and time and take a photo of the display.
- Check the solar breaker in your consumer unit is on. If it has tripped and trips again, leave it off and call us.
- Wait for the start-up routine. After a 301 the inverter tests itself before it reconnects, which can take several minutes.
- Don't open the inverter or touch the wiring. It carries high DC voltage from the panels even when the grid is off.
